Sadiq Khan has launched #LondonIsOpen, a campaign to spread the message that London is open, despite the Brexit vote:
“London is the best city in the world. It is entrepreneurial, international and full of creativity and possibility. The key ingredient of our success is the flow of ideas and talent from all over the world. After the referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union, it’s now more important than ever to show that our city is united. As always, our capital will be open for business and open to the world.”
The mayor has called on creatives to help spread this message. My submission is inspired by shop window “OPEN” signs and of course the well-known TfL roundel – coming together to create an icon, a mark, a visual that is instantly London and instantly communicates “open”.
